In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to export CINAHL search results to RefWorks— a popular web-based citation management application. CINAHL supports what's called 'Direct Export of References' to RefWorks. So again, these are the search results we got from the search we did in the previous tutorials. What I'm going to do is to export these references to RefWorks. Now we know from our previous tutorials, that before I can do anything to these references, I have to put them into a folder. So I'm just going to add them into my folder. Okay, these are now in my folder. I can click on the 'Folder View'... ...and here they are. Now, what I can do here, is to select them in 'Folder View'. I can select them one by one, or I can click here to select all of them at once. Then I can click on this 'Export' icon... You can see that it supports direct export to RefWorks. So I am going to pick this last option here... I will leave the references in the folder so that I can go back to them for more demos later... Now I am going to click 'Save'. I will be then prompted to log into my RefWorks account in another browser window or tab. After I log in, I can see that my references have been imported into RefWorks. If you set up your RefWorks account to allow you to globally edit references after an import, which I highly recommend that you do so... you can add some additional information such as the database name, data source, retrieval date, et cetera, to all of these references. Let me go ahead and do that... This is especially useful if you are going to be using a publications style that requires some of this information, such as the APA style. If I want to move these references into a folder inside RefWorks, I can do that. There they are. If you would like to learn more about how to use RefWorks to manage your citations and write papers, please refer to my RefWorks video tutorials. So there you have it— how to direct export references from CINAHL to RefWorks. Thanks for watching— I'll see you next time.
